About the Team

Claudio ReilsonoThe Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club is dedicated to promoting intercollegiate baseball at Carnegie Mellon (the University does not have a varsity baseball program). Our roster is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students from all colleges of the University.

The Tartans play a full schedule of games against local opponents during September and October. In the spring months of March through May, the team competes against regional opponents in the North Atlantic South Conference of the National Club Baseball Association.

Although there is no baseball field on campus, the team has access to on-campus practice facilities year-round. These include an indoor batting cage and pitching mound in Skibo Gym as well as an all-weather turf at Gesling Stadium.

Led by a team of experienced coaches, the team holds in-season practices on weekdays. Most games take place on weekends, minimizing potential conflicts with academics. Players are encouraged to attend all scheduled practices and games.

The continued success and growth of the Club depends on the constant influx of new players. If you're a prospective or incoming student, please contact us for more information on joining the team. We'd be happy to answer any questions that you may have.
