Despite a 1-3 start, Tartans optimistic.
With new management under President Wade Brogdon and new bookkeeping with freshman Blaine Greenberg, the Tartans are hopeful that this year can develop into a good season.
Despite the loss of the top two pitchers from last year, the Tartans pitching still looks decent with sophomore ace Wade Brogdon and new pitcher Kyle Woltersdorf. Also joining the team was freshman pitcher/3B Brian Ferri and Brendan MacNabb. With the return of Eric Bruner and Bennet Poepping and the promise of master relief work from Joe Seymour if called upon, the Tartans certainly have enough bodies to put on the mound.
Juan Infante also looks to be a pitching contributor in the coming season.
Added speed in Jon Tan and Chris Streeter is leaving the opponent's catchers in a state of shock as the Tartans are able to steal bases at will. In fact, there are currently 3 players who have as many stolen bases as hits.
