The Carnegie Mellon Tartans start off a promising season with two wins behind strong bats and solid pitching.

The Tartans took both games from CCAC Boyce on Sunday. The first game Bennet Poepping was plagued by walks, but eventually settled down and had a stellar finish in the 5th, 6th, and 7th. Luckily, the Tartans had enough run support to get the win.

In the second game Daniel Stoll shut down the Boyce hitters. The Tartan bats were still hot. The game was highlighted by back to back triples by Jon Tan and Kyle Woltersdorf.

Adam Gruber had a great day at the plate and at 3rd base.

Surprisingly we were able to get the win without the presence of our star player, Paul Ko.

This season is shaping up to be one of the best seasons in Tartans history.
