Randy Bowser named Assistant Coach
June 29, 2005
The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club announced today that Randy Bowser, Pitching Coach for Punxsutawney Area High School, has been named the team's Assistant Coach, effective immediately. The announcement was made by team President Kevin Cohn.
In addition to his experience working with Punxsutawney Area High School, which recently won District Nine, Bowser served as Manager of the Indiana County Junior American Legion team in 2001, winning the League Championship, and is a scout for the Global Scouting Bureau.
"Randy will be a great addition to the Club. In addition to knowing the game, he can relate his knowledge to players to help them become even better--that's a rare combination. I know we will work well together and make this program a success," said Claudio Reilsono, Head Coach.
Bowser fills a position that had been vacant since Dan Green resigned on April 29, 2005, and completes an overhaul of the coaching staff that was highlighted by the hiring of Reilsono, General Manager & Lead Scout of the Global Scouting Bureau, as Head Coach.
