Tartans announce Fall 2005 schedule
August 16, 2005
The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club announced today that it will open its Fall 2005 season on the road against nemesis Robert Morris University as part of a twenty-two game schedule highlighted by the Bob Kloska Invitational on September 23-24. The announcement was made by President Kevin Cohn and Head Coach Claudio Reilsono.
The Tartans also named Edwin Driscoll Field, of Quigley Catholic High School, their home field for the season. The Tartans' last home field was Boyce Park, of C.C.A.C. Boyce, during the Spring 2003 season.
"The upcoming season's schedule is the largest--and most competitive--this Club has ever put together. The increased number of games, and added variety in opponents, promises to make the season very exciting," said Cohn.
"The Fall 2005 schedule will challenge us to work and play harder, and I know we will. Although it's a bit of a drive from Carnegie Mellon's campus, we're happy to call Quigley and Edwin Driscoll Field our home," said Reilsono, who is entering his first season as Head Coach.
All dates and times are subject to change. Game results and announcements of postponements and cancellations are available on the Club's website, www.cmubaseball.com.
