Club Elects New Board

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club has announced several changes to the executive board. After two years as team President, Ryan Comes has stepped down to focus on schoolwork and research. Rising junior Jon Coens has been elected to serve as President for the next year.

Tartans to Appear on PCTV

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club will be appearing with head coach Claudio Reilsono on the new show called "Champions Live" on Pittsburgh Community Television, Saturday, November 12. The show will be taping on Monday, November 7 at 7 PM at the Crawford Grill in Station Square.

Tartans Announce Spring 2006 Schedule

The Tartans today released the schedule for the Spring 2006 season, the team's first in the National Club Baseball Association. Carnegie Mellon is a member of the New Penn West Conference, along with teams from Kent State, Penn State, Robert Morris and West Virginia University.

Sukits Resigns as Treasurer

Senior P/C Pete Sukits has resigned as the team's treasurer, effective immediately, due to time constraints and personal reasons. Sandy Williams has been approved by the board to be the interim treasurer and freshman Billy Ratliff will join the board as the interim secretary, replacing Williams. The announcement was made by team president Ryan Comes.

Coens Joins Board as Equipment Manager

Freshman pitcher Jon Coens has agreed to take over and has been approved by the club's Board of Directors for the Equipment Manager position. Coens replaces Ryan Comes, who is serving as interim President following the resignation of former President Kevin Cohn. The announcement was made by President Ryan Comes.

Tartans announce Fall 2005 schedule

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club announced today that it will open its Fall 2005 season on the road against nemesis Robert Morris University as part of a twenty-two game schedule highlighted by the Bob Kloska Invitational on September 23-24. The announcement was made by President Kevin Cohn and Head Coach Claudio Reilsono.

Carnegie Mellon joins NCBA

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club announced today that it has joined the National Club Baseball Association and will compete in its New Penn West Conference beginning with the Spring 2006 season. The announcement was made by President Kevin Cohn.

Kevin Cohn will resign as President

After careful thought on the matter, I have decided to resign my position as President of the Club, effective Sunday, August 28, 2005. I have nominated Ryan Comes, currently the Equipment Manager, for acting President, a decision that has been ratified by the Board of Directors.

Randy Bowser named Assistant Coach

The Carnegie Mellon Baseball Club announced today that Randy Bowser, Pitching Coach for Punxsutawney Area High School, has been named the team's Assistant Coach, effective immediately. The announcement was made by team President Kevin Cohn.
